National Airlines Council of Canada Announces Retirement of President and CEO Jeff Morrison; Board Initiates Executive Search Process

OTTAWA, Ontario — May 19, 2026— The Board of Directors of the National Airlines Council of Canada (NACC) today announced that Jeff Morrison has informed the Board of his intention to retire as President and Chief Executive Officer. Mr. Morrison will continue to lead the association and serve as a member of the Board until a successor is appointed to ensure a seamless transition of leadership.

Since joining the association in 2022, Mr. Morrison has been instrumental in navigating industry challenges, regulatory shifts, and technological transformation. Notably, he steered the association through the aviation sector’s recovery from the COVID-19 pandemic. Under Mr. Morrison’s leadership, NACC has strengthened its position as a leading voice in Canadian aviation.

“On behalf of the Board of Directors, I want to extend our deepest gratitude to Jeff for his dedicated service and steady leadership over the past four years,” said Howard Liebman, Chair of the Board. “The association has benefited immensely from his vision and commitment. We are grateful that he will continue to lead us through the months ahead as we begin the search for our next President and CEO.”

To support the recruitment process, the Board of Directors has established a Search Committee and has retained Odgers, a leading global executive search firm, to conduct a comprehensive search for the association’s next leader. The search will look at a diverse pool of candidates with the proven leadership, strategic mindset, and industry expertise required to build on the association’s strong foundation.

“It has been a profound honour to lead NACC and to represent the interests of our member airlines,” said Morrison. “I am incredibly proud of what we have accomplished together, and I look forward to supporting the Board during this transition period as the association enters its next chapter of growth.” For more information on the recruitment process, please click here.
