Ottawa (Ontario), December 11, 2024 – The National Airlines Council of Canada (NACC), in partnership with the Air Transport Association of Canada (ATAC), the International Air Transport Association (IATA), the Canadian Chamber of Commerce, and Airlines for America (A4A), today sent a joint letter to all Canadian provincial and territorial premiers, in advance of their upcoming Council of the Federation Meeting, encouraging them to raise concerns regarding impact of existing federal fees and charges, as well as certain cost and regulatory proposals, on the affordability of air travel in Canada, and their impact on regional connectivity.
